This site will allow our citizens and other visitors the opportunity to stay in touch with their community and the police service. The Staff of the Miramichi Police Force is committed to providing a progressive and proactive approach to policing.
We have strengthened our ties to our community and agencies through the establishment of partnerships with many stakeholders that focus on issues regarding youth, senior citizens, and members of the general public. We have led in the development of unique leading edge community support programs such as Police Defibrillation, Safely Home (Alzheimer’s Wandering Registry), the Autism Registry and our Remembrance Protocol for fallen police officers.We are proud of our people and proud of our service record in making the City of Miramichi a safe and inviting place of residence to live and do business. A: The fee to obtain this is $57.50. If it's for volunteering, it's free. Two pieces of ID are required.

A: Between November 1 and April 15, from 11 pm to 7am there is a street parking ban in effect. Any vehicles found hindering snow removal or street cleaning operations can be ticketed or towed.

A: As per the NB Motor Vehicle Act all city streets have a speed limit of 50 km per hour unless posted otherwise.

A: The City follows Provincial hunting guidelines. With a valid hunting license, a long-barreled shotgun or rifle can be discharged no closer than 400 meters from a residence. For bow hunting, the distance is 100 meters from a residence.

A: Yes, it applies after 10 pm for offensive small engine noise.
