$4M Sponsorship Agreement Secures Naming Rights for Miramichi Wellness Multiplex
City of Miramichi Mayor Adam Lordon and Arbec Forest Products Inc. General Manager Adam Stone sign the long-term Naming Rights agreement in principle for the Miramichi Wellness Multiplex.
The City of Miramichi is proud to announce that a long-term Naming Rights agreement in principle has been secured for the Miramichi Wellness Multiplex.
Arbec Forest Products Inc. will pay $4 million to the City’s fundraising Campaign to have naming rights for the building, the arena and the turf soccer field on King Street for the next 25 years.
The name for the building and arena has yet to be determined.

The Sponsorship Agreement pertains to the name only and not the ownership of the physical facility or the operation of such facility.
The Sponsorship Agreement will be ratified by Miramichi City Council at an upcoming meeting.
The City of Miramichi launched a fundraising campaign in 2024 with a goal to raise $5 million for the Multiplex. A fundraising committee, working DCG Philanthropic Services , have now increased that goal due to this significant contribution.

About Arbec Forest Products Inc.
Arbec Forest Products Inc operates an OSB (Oriented Strand Board) mill in Miramichi as well as two locations in Quebec. Arbec purchased the idled mill in 2011 and produced the first board in October 2012. The OSB panels are used primarily in home construction and are sold in both Canada and the United States shipped by both truck and rail. The mill employs approximately 155 direct employees.

The Miramichi Wellness Multiplex will offer an 1860-seat arena, walking track, double gymnasium, 25m/6 lane competition pool, leisure pool as well as enhanced community spaces - all of which incorporate sustainable design features. It is expected to open in the fall of 2026.
