Multi-agency collaboration airport emergency response preparedness exercise scheduled for Wednesday, June 5th

The Miramichi Airport Authority is hosting an emergency exercise at the Miramichi Airport (YCH) on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The goal of the exercise is to ensure the Miramichi Airport Authority and all responding agencies are prepared and coordinated in the event of an emergency. The exercise involving Miramichi emergency services will be an excellent opportunity to rehearse their ability to respond in an emergency situation at the Miramichi Airport. Lessons learned from the exercise will be used to update response plans and reinforce collective emergency response preparedness at all levels.
Emergency response vehicles and personnel will be on-site and may be visible to airport customers and members of the public in the area. Access to the exercise area will be restricted to authorized personnel only.
Members of the public and media are asked to avoid the exercise locations and respect all signage in place. No impact on regular airport operations is anticipated.
