Community feedback being sought on proposed partial closure of Howard Street
The Ian Baillie Recreation Hub
The Department of Engineering will be holding an Open House to seek feedback from the community on whether or not to consider closing of a section of Howard Street for the future development of the Ian Baille Recreation Hub.
The section of Howard Street being considered is between Henderson Street and Stanley Street.
Details of what the closure might entail will be presented at the Open House by City staff.
City council will use the feedback received in their decision making process. Those who cannot attend can submit their feedback to the Clerk at clerk@miramichi.org.
Details of the Ian Baille Recreation Hub can be found here in the Master Plans Miramichi Recreation Hubs. The development includes adding a splash pad in a youth play zone, a teen activity zone and housing units.
The Open House is being held Monday, March 24th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 67 King Street.
