City of Miramichi seeks nominations for Freeman of the City

After a 10-year absence, the Freeman of the City is returning as part of the City of Miramichi’s 30th anniversary celebration.

The Freeman of the City is the highest honour bestowed by the City that recognizes individuals who have made an extraordinary, long-term impact on the community through dedicated service.

This prestigious award acknowledges individuals who have devoted at least 15 years of service to the betterment of Miramichi in areas such as education, business, community service, heritage, media, and more. It is their leadership and contributions that have left a lasting mark on our city, and this award serves as a tribute to their dedication.

“We are pleased to have this significant and honourable award return during our 30th anniversary and include it as part of our celebrations in 2025,” said Mayor Adam Lordon. “We are excited to celebrate with those who will be selected from the nominations we receive.”
