Street Resurfacing Program South 2024

As part of the Street Resurfacing Program 2024, the City of Miramichi Engineering Department advises there will be traffic interruptions for the following streets:

• McCurdy Street shall be closed to through traffic starting Monday, July 15, 2024, for road reconstruction. Work in this area is expected to continue for approximately 2 weeks.

• Henderson Street, between Victoria Street and Old Station Road, shall be reduced to single lane traffic on Thursday, July 18, 2024, for asphalt milling. Work in this area is expected to continue for approximately 2 weeks, during this time occasional lane reductions will be necessary to carry out preparation work and paving.

• Water Street, between John Street and Lobban Avenue shall be reduced to single lane traffic starting Friday, July 19, 2024, for asphalt milling and paving. Work in this area is expected to continue for approximately 1 week.

• Cunard Street, between Howard Street and Church Street, shall be closed to through traffic on Thursday, July 18, 2024, for asphalt milling and paving. Work in this area is expected to continue for approximately 3 weeks, during this time occasional road closures will be necessary to carry out preparation work and paving.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution and use alternative routes where possible as contractors work to complete these projects in a timely manner.
