Emergency Cooling Station Open During Heat Warning

The City of Miramichi will provide an Emergency Cooling Station for residents over the next three days as the region experiences hot and humid weather. A heat warning has been issued by Environment Canada.
The cooling station will be located in the lobby of the Miramichi Eco-Centre/Curling Club at 21 Cove Road.
Accessible washrooms will be available, as well as bottled water to keep residents hydrated while on-site.
The Cooling Station will be open during the following times;

  • Tuesday, June 18th, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Wednesday, June 19th, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Thursday, June 20th, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

An Emergency Cooling Station will be open at the Miramichi Eco-Centre.
